Position Summary:

The Pool Stock Supervisor is a key member of the distribution team, responsible for driving production in receiving merchandise, breaking down and stocking shelves performing multiple functions related to ensure that all orders are printed, pulled, packed, wrapped, and shipped according to established company standards  The Pool Stock Supervisor  optimizes the flow and productivity of the department, and generally sets the standard for other hourly Pool Stock associates, both employed by Belk and by temporary staffing provider(s).

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, schedule, assign daily duties to Pool Stock associates.
  • Support Pool Stock Manager and supervise all processes, from start to finish, ensuring that all orders are printed, pulled, packed, wrapped, and shipped according to established company standards.
  • Support Pool Stock Manager and supervise preparing for and conducting scheduled Physical Inventory (currently twice a year). Reconcile discrepancies.
  • Support department and oversee all RTV’s (Return To Vendor) from Pool Stock
  • Supports Belk.com with LTO’s
  • Support department in processing  allocations (Spring and Fall) assuring all merchandise is shipped to the stores within the specified timeframes

·        Any other job related instructions as requested by management

§  Maintain high quality and productivity standards in the Pool Stock department by providing support, training and motivation to Pool Stock associates.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Follows a flexible schedule, including regularly scheduled changes to shift and work assignments with similar but department-specific responsibilities and objectives.
  • Follow all established facility safety and security standards; set the example for Pool Stock Associates.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment; ensure all equipment is in working order.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

 

  • 2 or more years of applicable experience
  • Ability to effectively manage time to meet dynamic goals and deadlines
  • Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Read and understand policies/procedures and communicate them to employees
  • Operate standard business equipment, including PC, phone, calculator, etc.
  • Operate handheld scanner and associated equipment
  • Operate specific warehouse computer hardware and software including (but not limited to) Warehouse Management System, Item Database, Yard Management System, etc.
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, and move freely around the facility
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to read and understand English
